THE FREE GIFTS OF THE LORD.

1. The gift of water (Psalm 65:9) If You can take explosive elements like hydrogen and oxygen and combine them into life-giving water, You can take the explosive elements of our natures and make our lives peaceful and constructive.

2. Food (65:9, 13) We are all tenants on Your plantation, the earth. Both our room and board come from Your heart of love and hand of plenty.

3. The gift of life (66:9) Since You did make us in the first place, You can do more with our lives than we can, so we give ourselves to You without reservation.

4. Mineral resources (66:10) We acknowledge our dependence upon You, for we are Yours by creation, by preservation, and by redemption.

5. The fire (66:12) We are overawed when we think of the ways You have worked things out so our lives could be complete. Make us truly appreciative.

6. The gift of sight (67:1) We magnify Your name for equipping us with priceless gifts that add new dimensions to life.

7. Other free gifts too numerous to mention (68:19) Your free gifts are as countless as the stars in the sky and the grains of sand on the seashore.
