DANIEL SERVED AS A PROPHET TO THE EXILES IN BABYLON FROM 605 – 536 B.C.

While Ezekiel was ministering to the captives in Babylon, Daniel was drafted as a counselor to King Nebuchadnezzar. With God’s hep, he interpreted two of the king’s dreams. Daniel’s three friends were rescued from death in the fiery furnace and he was rescued from a lion’s den.

The large statue in Nebuchadnezzar’s dream (Daniel 2) represented the 4 kingdoms that would dominate as wold powers: the golden  head were Babylonians ( 606 -539 B.C.); the chest and arm, from silver, were Medo-Persians ( 539 – 331B.C.); the belly and thighs, from bronze, were Grecian (331 – 146 B.C.); the legs and feet, from iron and clay, were Romans (146 B.C. – A.D.476).
