God sent many prophets to warn the Israel : ” Mend your ways, or God will send enemies to defeat you”. But still they didn’t listen. So cruel kings came and took the Israelites away to be slaves. They burned the beautiful city of Jerusalem.
The prophets had words of hope: “God still loves you. He will send a special person, He will save us…”
