SAMSON BECOMES ISRAEL’S JUDGE (1075 BC)
Samson and Delilah (Judges 16). Samson defeated the Philistines, strong enemies of Israel. Delilah, his wife, helped the Philistines to capture Samson; they put his eyes out, chained him with bronze chains and put him to work grinding at he mill in the prison. After a while, he took hold of the two middle pillars holding the building where the king and Philistines had a party and killed more than three thousand men and woman.
