SLAVES IN EGYPT.
Jacob took his family to Egypt and was very glad when he found Joseph alive. They were called Hebrews and kept growing in numbers. Years later, a new Pharaoh made the Hebrews work as slaves. He was scared that there are too many Hebrews. “Kill every Hebrew baby boy” he ordered. But one Hebrew mother hid her baby, Moses, in a basket. Pharaoh’s daughter, the princess of Egypt found the boy and took him to the palace and brought him up as a royal prince (Exodus 2)
