READING AT THE PSALTER : SEVEN STEPS FROM TROUBLE TO VICTORY.
1. Acknowledge That There Is Trouble ( Psalm 50:15) We do not have to stay the way we were when You did find us; we can take a turn for the better that enables us to move upward and forward.
2. Ask God for Mercy ( 51:1) Our only chance for survival is that Your patience and mercy endure forever.
3. Confess Our Sins and Receive Forgiveness ( 51:1) We have an Attorney at the throne of grace who can plead our case so well that we can get a verdict of acquittal which forgives our sordid past.
4. Consecrate to Be Cleansed ( 51:10) Your cleansing takes care of the need of our lives at the deepest leve. We give You praise for cleansing the fountain springs of our motives.
5. Have a Christlike Spirit (51:10) May Christ be seen in our words, deeds, and characters until those whom we contact today will want to get better acquainted with Him.
6. Receive a Full Measure of the Joy of the Lord ( 51:12) May we keep the wells of inspiration open and flowing, so we can have a free flow of Your joy flooding our hearts.
7. Have a Radiant Witness for the Lord (51:13) Since each of us has something that can be used in winning others, may we be effective channels of spiritual power for others.
