A religious experience (Matthew 14:22)

Jesus: "Peter, take  courage! Do not be afraid. Walk  to Me on water!" (Matthew 14:22)

I stepped from Plank to Plank,
A slow and cautious way.
The Stars above my Head I felt
About my Feet the Sea.

I knew not but the next
Would be my final inch -
This gave me that precarious gait
some call Experience (Emily Dickinson, 1830-1886, USA).

What an experience now, with COVID-19...
Our boat is buffeted by the waves and the wind is against us.
We can hear Jesus:
" Come to Me,
all you who are weary and burdened,
and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you and learn from Me,
for I am gentle and humble in heart,
and you will find rest for your souls.
For my yoke is easy and my burden is light" (Matthew 11:28).

Let's pray for all people in need and suffering.
