"Ai milă, Doamne, Fiul lui David! Dă-i pâine fiicei mele bolnave!" (Matei 15:22)
După înmulțirea Pâinilor (Ioan 6), ei i-au spus lui Iisus: „Ce semn poți face Tu ca să vedem și să credem în Tine?”.
Iisus: „Eu sunt pâinea vieții care s-a pogorât din ceruri!
Am venit să Mă dau vouă, pentru ca cunoscându-Mă pe Mine să-L cunoașteți pe Tatăl vostru”!
Evreii murmurau.
Nu era niciun compromis în mesajul Său.
A distrus ultima speranță a celor care vedeau în el pentru eliberarea lui Israel.
„Pentru aceasta, mulți dintre discipolii lui s-au întors și nu au mai umblat cu el”.
Pentru prima dată în lucrarea sa publică, El a părăsit Palestina și și-a codus ucenicii în orașele străine Tir și Sidon.
Străinii erau prietenoși fără niciun motiv ascuns.
Și iată, o femeie canaanită a strigat:
"Ai milă, Doamne, Fiul lui David! Dă-i pâine fiicei mele bolnave!"
Iisus: „O, femeie, mare este credința ta “!

"Have pity, Lord, Son of David! Give bread to my sick daughter!" (Matthew 15:22)
After the multiplication of the Loaves (John 6), they said to Jesus : "What sign can You do that we can see and believe in  You?".
Jesus : "I am the bread of life that came down from Heaven! I have come to give Myself to you, that by knowing Me you may know your Father"!
The Jews murmured.
There was no compromise in His message.
It destroyed the last hope of those who had looked to him for the deliverance of Israel.
"Upon this many of his diciples went back and walked with him no more".
For the first time in his public work He forsook Palestine and led his wondering but still dutiful followers into the foreign cities of Tyre and Sidon. This foreign folk were friendly without ulterior motive.
And behold, a Canaanite woman called out :
"Have pity on me, Lord, Son of David! Give bread to my sick daughter!"
Jesus : "O, woman, great is your faith!" (Matthew 15:22)
