the pharisee and the publicanWHAT KIND OF ATTITUDE SHOULD WE PRAY WITH ?(Luke 18:9).

ELI TEACHES SAMUEL HOW TO PRAY (1 SAMUEL 3:9):

- "Speak, Lord..." This is an invitation. It shows  openness and readiness. It shows your recognition of God: You are the Almighty, and I am ready to hear what You have to say.

- "... for your servant..." This shows hymility. It is a recognition of yourself: I am your servant; it is my desire to do what You want. My life's purpose is to serve You.

- "... is listening". This demonstrates your response: I am not going to ignore You. I am not going to daydream or must pretend to pay attention. I will take in Your message, and it will become part of me.
