14 septembrie. Paradoxul Crucii. Un Om Nou (3).

Adevărata înțelepciune și putere se găsesc în mod paradoxal acolo unde te-ai aștepta mai puțin, în locul aparentei lor negări. Pentru ochii omenești, Hristos cel răstignit simbolizează neputința și absurditatea.
„Cuvântul crucii este o nebunie pentru cei ce pier, dar pentru noi, cei ce suntem mântuiți, este puterea lui Dumnezeu. Hristos este puterea lui Dumnezeu și înțelepciunea lui Dumnezeu. Nebunia lui Dumnezeu este mai înțeleaptă decât înțelepciunea omenească, și slăbiciunea lui Dumnezeu este mai tare decât puterea omenească” (1 Corinteni, 1:18).

True wisdom and power are to be found paradoxically where one would least expect them, in the place of their apparent negation. For human eyes, the crucified Crist symbolizes impotence and absurdity.
"The message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God. The foolishness of God is wiser than man's wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man's strength" (1 Corinthians, 1:18).
